If you’re on the hunt for an exhilarating experience that you won’t forget in a hurry, join our tour of the week, which will bring you face to face with one of the fiercest predators in the region.

The tour begins in Darwin, where you’ll get picked up, and we’ll head on through the beautiful countryside until we get to the calm banks of the Adelaide River. Though it might seem like a tranquil setting, with the sun beating down on the tufts of greenery, and the shimmer of the smooth water, this river is actually home to some of Australia’s deadliest predators – the saltwater crocodile.

These magnificent beasts are the largest reptile species in the world and can grow to a whopping 7-metres long. They can weigh up to 1,000 kilograms, with tails that are made up of pure, solid muscle. These act as their springboard, allowing them to propel themselves out of the water to snap their jaws around their prey.

Don’t be put off by their sharp teeth, though, as these creatures are some of the most

fascinating in the country, and our Jumping Crocodile Cruise Darwin $99 gives you the chance to get to know a bit more about them and see them thrive in their natural habitat.

As we make our way down the river, we’ll keep an eye out for the glint of an eye or the hump of a spine, as well as have a go at spotting some of the other wildlife that calls the area home – there will be plenty of time for bird-watching and discovering some of the native plant species that grow along the banks.

The best part of the tour is feeding time for the crocodile’s, where you’ll get to see these incredible creatures hurl themselves out of the water to latch onto their prey. This is a once in a lifetime experience, giving you the opportunity to gain an unparalleled insight into the life and diet of a saltwater crocodile.

After feeding time, we’ll head to the Wetlands Visitors Centre and the Fogg Dam

Conservation Reserve, where you can discover the beautiful wetlands ecosystem and get up close and personal with some of the region’s other species of wildlife.

At the end of the tour, we’ll take you back to Darwin, where your day of adventurous animal watching unfortunately comes to an end. If you’re looking for an exciting opportunity to get within reaching distance of some of Australia’s most fascinating creatures, our Jumping Crocodile Cruise Darwin $99 is the tour for you!
