Explore the beautiful scenery that surrounds Darwin on our one-day Kakadu Tour. While getting to know the biggest national park in Australia, you’ll get to step back in time and discover ancient rock paintings and historic Aboriginal culture, as well as spot the colourful wildlife that characterises the region.

Stuart Highway
The day begins on the Stuart Highway, which is one of the longest roads in Australia and is flanked by stunning scenery to whet your appetite for what’s to come.
Kakadu National Park
Soon after we leave, we’ll arrive in the expansive surroundings of the Kakadu National Park. This UNESCO World Heritage Site sprawls out for more than 19,000 kilometres, offering up a variety of beautiful landscapes, from pristine coastlines and lush forests, to open woodland and flood plains. Keep your eyes peeled for the abundance of wildlife that calls this area home.
Nourlangie Rock Art
Next, it’s time to dive into the rich history of the region and explore some of the centuries-old rock paintings that adorn the cliffs and sandstone formations in the park. Many of the artworks were created more than 50,000 years ago by the local Aboriginal community, who still practice their ancient traditions in the landscape today.
You’ll take a 1.5 kilometre walk around the majestic Nourlangie Rock Art site on a guided tour that will help you dig deeper into its history.
Yellow Water Billabong
We’ll stop for a buffet lunch and then move on to the Yellow Water Billabong, where you’ll take a guided cruise and spot the resident saltwater crocodiles. Make sure you have your camera to hand, as the chance of seeing these prehistoric creatures is high.
Warradian Aboriginal Cultural Centre
To finish, we’ll take you to the Warradian Aboriginal Cultural Centre, where you can explore displays and stories from the local community and learn just how important the history of this region has been in making Australia the place it is today. You’ll get to visit the Bininj people and learn their local traditions, before stopping off at the souvenir shop to pick up a reminder of your time in Kakadu National Park.
We’ll then take you back to Darwin, where your adventure around Kakadu unfortunately comes to an end. You’ll have plenty of photo memories, though, that will keep your experience fresh in your mind for years to come.
