The Gold Coast Hinterland is home to some incredible scenery, complete with lush rainforests and a smattering of pretty waterfalls. On our Springbrook National Park Tour, you’ll get to experience all of this and more as you learn about the diverse ecology of the region and delve into some of the age-old stories that imbue the land and its surroundings.
We’ll take you to some of the best spots, including the fascinating caldera of an ancient volcano, viewpoints that look out over sweeping landscapes, and a cultural strip of galleries in a mountain town.
Springbrook Mountain
As the tour kicks off, we’ll head away from the pristine beaches of the Gold Coast and delve deep into the Hinterland as we make our way towards Springbrook Mountain, a World Heritage site. On the way, keep your eyes peeled for exotic plant and bird species as we journey through some of the oldest living forests in the entire world.
Once at the mountain, you’ll have the chance to take a guided walk where you’ll learn more about the majestic forests, their inhabitants, and their histories.
Natural Arch
We’ll then move on to Natural Arch, a rock formation that has been created over thousands of years by the pummelling of water over basalt. Here, the cave is home to the Glow Worm, providing a magical backdrop to the experience.
Mount Tamborine
Then it’s on to Mount Tamborine, where you can stroll along Gallery Walk, soaking up the quaint collection of boutique shops and arts and crafts stores.
Afterwards, we’ll head up to the canopy of the surrounding rainforest to wander along the Mount Tamborine Skywalk. Set 30 metres above ground level, this steel structured bridge gives you the chance to look out over the incredible forest scenery that flanks the mountain.
Wine Tasting
We’ll finish the day in style with a wine tasting at one of the top wineries in the region. Sample some of the delicious local flavours and learn all about the unique winemaking process in the Hinterland. This is the perfect, relaxing way to end an incredible day exploring what the Gold Coast has to offer further in land.
We’ll then make our way back to the coast, where the tour unfortunately comes to an end. You’ll have plenty of memories of the rich rainforests and cascading waterfalls though to last you a lifetime.
