Moreton Island is a hotbed of wildlife, boasting sprawling sand-covered scenery that seems to stretch on for miles in every direction. On our one-day Moreton Island Tour with Dolphins, you’ll get full access to the luxurious resort facilities of Tangalooma and get up close and personal with the resident wild dolphins. We set off from Brisbane in the morning and make our way to Moreton Island on a luxury catamaran – talk about travelling in style! You can simply sit back with a complimentary tea or coffee and enjoy the stunning views that unfold around you. Once we get to the island, you’ll be able to use the expansive facilities on the Tangalooma Resort to make sure your day is the best it possibly can be. You can choose to lounge by the pool, grab a drink at the bar, or get stuck into some of the sports facilities that are on offer.
During the day, you have one of three options to help you further explore everything the island has to offer. You can choose to take a Marine Discovery Tour, that takes you around the stunning coastline and exposes you to some of the island’s mesmerising marine life; you can take a Desert Safari Tour into the Tangalooma Desert and get an adrenalin rush on a 4WD adventure before trying out sand tobogganing; or you can go on a Whale Watching Cruise in search of whales in the winter months. Afterwards, you’ll get to learn all about the local wild dolphins that call the waters around the island home at a presentation at the Marine Education Centre. When the sun begins to set, we’ll take you out to the jetty, where you can watch the friendly dolphins come ashore to get their nightly feed. This really is an incredible experience that you can enjoy up close.
The groups that take part in this activity are small, so you’ll be able to experience it in an intimate setting, and you’ll even get to help feed the dolphins, too.
