This two-day tour gives you the chance to experience the point where rainforest meets ocean. Here, the Daintree Rainforest joins together with the Great Barrier Reef, one of the world’s most beloved and oldest natural wonders.
This two-day tour lets you experience ancient rainforests, discover fascinating plant and animal life, and take part in some amazing activities along the way.
Daintree National Park
The tour starts from Cairns, where we make our way to the Daintree National Park to have morning tea along the pretty banks of the Mossman River or the Daintree River. You then have the chance to take a guided crocodile and wildlife spotting tour, where you can get up close and personal with some of the region’s best-loved creatures and learn more about their behaviour and habitat.
Keep your eyes peeled for saltwater crocodiles, reptiles, pythons, colourful butterflies, and native birds.
Daintree Rainforest
After the river cruise, we’ll head into the ancient backdrop of the Daintree Rainforest, where you can marvel at centuries-old trees and spot some of the more impressive plant life in the region. We’ll take you along the Marrdja Boardwalk, where you can spot endangered Cassowaries and stop off at important landmarks along the way.
Cape Tribulation
Then it’s time to explore the incredible expanse of Cape Tribulation, the point where the rainforest meets the ocean. You’ll spend the night here after taking the opportunity to try jungle surfing, kayaking around the coastline, or taking a leisurely horse ride along the sandy shores.
Alexandra Range
The next morning, we’ll head to the Alexandra Range, where you can gaze out at stunning views of the Daintree Rainforest, the Coastal Hinterland, and the meandering path of the Daintree River.
Mossman Gorge
Afterwards, it’s on to the ancient landscape of Mossman Gorge, where you can indulge in afternoon tea and learn more about this impressive natural wonder.
Then it’s time to head back to Cairns, but not before we’ve driven through the charming fishing village of Port Douglas and stopped off at Trinity Bay and Coral Bay to experience the Great Barrier Reef from the incredible Rex Lookout.
Cape Tribulation and the Daintree Rainforest form a breath-taking part of Australia’s natural landscape, and you can experience everything they have to offer on this two-day adventure that lets you soak up the jaw-dropping scenery, explore the unique array of wildlife, and delve into the rich cultural past of the point where ocean meets rainforest.
