Melbourne’s Albert Park racing track has become a firm favourite amongst Formula One aficionados since its opening in 1996. Every year, world-class drivers compete against each other to win trophies and titles. But it’s not just races on offer at the Grand Prix. In fact, there’s plenty to do amidst the party atmosphere, from rides and performances, to shows and exhibitions for all the family.
This year, the Grand Prix will take place from the 17th to the 20th March and will be the very first race of the new Formula One season.

More Cars, More Action
This year there will be more racing than usual, thanks to the return of the Australian GTs after a six-year break. In addition, the V8 Supercars will take to the tracks once more, and there will be a couple of races featuring the classic cars. What’s more, the engines are set to be even louder this year, bringing the atmosphere to an all-time high. They’ll be around 25% louder, so you’ll be able to feel well and truly part of the action.
Fan Zone
The popular Fan Zone will open its doors to visitors this year, where you can get answers to
the burning questions you have about the races or Formula One in general. You can also hear from the drivers, the team principals, and other top dogs in the racing game here.
The V8 Village
The V8 Village will return to the Grand Prix again this year, featuring a whole host of impressive cars that will be exhibited throughout the event. You’ll have the chance to meet some of the world’s best Supercar drivers and pilots, and grab a snap with one of the Grid Girls.
