Victoria is Australia’s southernmost state and home to so many great attractions and beautiful destinations.

There are a number of population locations for tourists to visit in Victoria, they include, The Great Ocean Road, The Grampians, Phillip Island, and of course, Melbourne!

The Great Ocean Road

The Great Ocean Road is probably Victoria’s most popular holiday destination for tourists. Visitors from all around the world flock to the Great Ocean road to discover the stunning 243-kilometre stretch of coastline. The Great Ocean Road is extremely diverse and is home to stunning scenery in every direction. Sandstone cliffs, crashing ocean and lush rainforest is just some of what you might expect to see on your adventure on the Great Ocean Road.

The Grampians National Park

The Grampians is located around two hours north-west of Melbourne and boasts unbelievable scenery, adventurous activities, and an abundance of adorable native Australian wildlife. The Grampians is the perfect place to visit as a tourist if you love the great outdoors and being immersed in nature. Hiking tracks, stunning waterfalls, breathtaking views, and thrill-seeking adventures are everywhere in the Grampians, as well as a unique and fascinating history of the native Indigenous landowners of the region.

Phillip Island

Phillip Island is a favourite for all those wildlife loving tourists out there. Not only does Phillip Island have a stunning coastline and scenery, but it is also known as a wildlife haven, with several places to visit if you wish to come up close and personal to some unique Aussie animals. The most popular attraction on Phillip Island is the Penguin Parade, where each evening at sunset thousands of adorable Little Penguins make their way to shore after a day exploring at sea. The penguin parade is an unbelievable experience that you have to see when you are in Victoria. Other popular wildlife attractions include, The Nobbies and Seal Bay, The Churchill Heritage Farm, and the Koala Conservation Centre.

Melbourne

Melbourne is the arts and culture capital of Australia and is undoubtedly one of the best over-all cities in the world. It is known for its abundance of entertainment and attractions, gorgeous city skyline, and a terrific food and wine culture. Most travellers will begin their journey in Melbourne and make their way to other Victorian attractions from there, as it is a great starting point within close proximity to anywhere in Victoria. When you are visiting Melbourne, be sure to check out the National Gallery of Victoria, explore the Royal Botanic Gardens in South Yarra and spend the day at the trendy beachside suburb of St. Kilda.
