Experience everything the Great Ocean Road has to offer on this one-day whirlwind adventure. Throughout our Great Ocean Road tours, you’ll get to soak up spectacular coastlines, dig your toes into pristine beaches, and wander beneath the lush canopies of ancient rainforests. There’s a bit of something for everyone on this tour, whether you want to explore the quaint seaside towns of the coast or get stuck into the natural history of the region.
Memorial Arch
The day begins from Melbourne, where we’ll take you out to Urquhart Bluff to explore the coast’s thriving surf scene. Grab a morning tea before we move onto the historic Memorial Arch, where there will be plenty of photo opportunities. Afterwards, we’ll pass through the charming resorts of Lorne and Anglesea as we make our way to our next stop.
Kennett River
Get up close and personal with some of Australia’s best-loved critters alongside the Kennett River. Spot koalas and keep your eyes peeled for colourful parrots as you go. We’ll then stop for lunch at the delicious Iluka Restaurant in Apollo Bay.
Maits Rest Rainforest
Next, it’s time to discover the ancient rainforests that sit back from the coast. We’ll take you on a guided tour through the Otway Rainforest to Maits Rest where you can see tall Eucalyptus trees and soak up the beauty of Port Campbell National Park. If you want, you can take a helicopter ride to enjoy the scenery from another perspective.
Loch Ard Gorge & 12 Apostles
Then we’ll take a wander along the beach at Loch Ard Gorge, where you can learn more about the region’s natural history before we take you to see the Archway, the Razorback, and Dumpling Pots, and let you in on the tragic stories that haunt the Shipwreck Coast.
Before we leave the coast, you’ll get to see Gibson’s Steps, which are carved into the cliff face, and the Twelve Apostles, one of the Great Ocean Road’s most iconic landmarks. Finally, we’ll stop off at London Bridge, so you can see what remains of this natural wonder.
We’ll then take you back to Melbourne where your discovery of this mesmerizing part of Australia unfortunately comes to an end. Exploring the Great Ocean Road is a must-do while you’re in Australia, if only to experience the unique concoction of rainforests, beaches, cliff faces, and natural wonders that occupy the same space.
